The System : Behind the Scenes

Diald was first built behind the scenes. Before it became a polished product, it had to become a working machine: a backend system made of code sequences, prompt-driven flows, data dependencies, and output logic. I defined core parts of that structure and worked across system design, prompt curation, workflow logic, and implementation management.

Customer Problem

The startup never only needed an interface. It needed a system that could actually function. Especially at the beginning, the backend was still rough, many operations were manual, and the relationship between input, generation, internal workflow, and output was not yet fully structured.

Before

Before this work, Diald’s backend existed in a partial and largely manual form. Customers communicated inputs outside a true product environment, internal workflows were not fully automated, and the final output was closer to a raw document than to a coherent product.

What I Did

- Built the logic of some portions of the machine-facing layer behind the product.
- Defined workflows connecting input collection, data organization, generation, verification, and output readiness.
- Shaped prompt logic and generation structure in the areas that directly affected input requirements and output quality.
- Defined system portions tied most closely to the input platform and the final report.
- Led how received data had to be filtered, structured, and prepared for content generation.
- Directed coordination of the engineering team for implementation across backend features.
- Helped structure how verified external data, internal data, and contextual findings informed the final product output in collaboration with the Chief of Production Officer.

After

Diald evolved from a rough and partially manual backend into a cloud-based automated system supporting the full path from input to shipment.

Business Value

The real value gain came from automation. A manually assembled workflow can produce an output; an automated system can produce a product for endless case studies, and create customer retention and loyalty. This shift increased scalability, consistency, and overall business value.

Future Perspective

The input flow can be refined further to align more closely with backend code requirements, while the system can improve how outsourced and internal data are filtered and integrated. The same machine-facing logic could also support a more interactive product layer, where financial analysis, contextual findings, sources, SWOT logic, and the Diald Score could be surfaced dynamically rather than only in a PDF.
